![]() ![]() I don't know how they managed it but they made the controls worse. looks like Ashlee Simpson before the nose job. I feel sorry for Zelda, HD does not work well on her model. I mean there's only a little difference to what we saw almost a decade ago. Take the worst Zelda 3D game we've ever made and re release it on the switch. I mean the HD I'm not sure what nintendo were thinking. I'm not sure what nintendo were thinking. I would recommend buying this if you wish to play skyward sword without motion controls, but I wouldn't recommend paying full price for it. Overall, this is a decent remaster, that fixed some things, but still had a few issues. This is especially true when $60 is more than the price of the game when it was originally released ($50). I don't think it is ever reasonable to charge a full $60 for a graphics update. Possibly my biggest issue with this port is the price. Fi doesn't butt in all the time, cutscenes are skippable, no motion controls, etc. I did find that many of the little things that bothered and annoyed me about the Wii release were fixed or toned down. The game is a nice graphical upgrade, but not mind-shatteringly better, and the control scheme isn't great. I loved the game when it was first released 11 years ago on the Wii but absolutely hated its dependency on motion controls (that rarely worked as they were supposed to). I loved the game when it was first released 11 years ago on the Wii but absolutely hated its dependency on This game is well put together. botw has a lot more to offer but skyward sword is full of charm and it's a fun adventure. Is it better than breath of the wild? personally not at all. Better control options, less annoying tutorials/pop up messages, visually it's far nicer (the old wii version looks awful on modern tvs), autosaves, camera controls etc. Having tried the original version on wii just a few months ago I can definitely say this is hands down the best version of the game. Joycon drift is a big headache so I just couldn't handle playing with joycons. I also really appreciate that I can use a gamepad. The quality of life features make the experience noticeably better. The art style really holds up and this is such a great version of Zelda (the character I mean). I'm a few hours in and really enjoying the game though. Unfortunately ports are a target for review bombing so the user score probably won't be that reliable as people who haven't played the game Unfortunately ports are a target for review bombing so the user score probably won't be that reliable as people who haven't played the game will just give it a 0. Take advantage of the newly-added button only control scheme-perfect for playing in handheld mode or on the Nintendo Switch Lite system. Movements feel smoother and more immediate thanks to the Nintendo Switch system’s increased processing power and HD graphics. Link will match the angle of each strike you make with the Joy-Con controller, creating immersive swordplay that relies on strategy and accuracy. Swing your sword and angle your slashes to uncover and break through opponents’ defenses using intuitive motion controls. Master realistic swordplay that matches your movements. ![]() Soar between floating islands and descend to the treacherous surface world in this updated HD version of the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
